The folks here have been doing an awesome job exposing these Journal-News hacks who recently ambushed suburban New Yorkers by publishing the names of gun permit owners.
Reader “Jeff” sends along a link to the latest article in the White Plains tabloid, Journal-News, reporting on the hornets nest occasioned by their publication of an interactive map showing the identity and address of all registered gun owners in Westchester County and surrounding areas.
Editor Cyndee Royle defends her decision and in fact sounds quite smug about it. Let’s keep those cards and letters (and telephone calls, of course) coming.
Yes, she actually spells her name CynDee. So if you look to what was her Facebook link, it went bye-bye.
Then if you head over to Twitter, this arrogant twit is actually protecting her tweets. If you’re a law-abiding gun owner all the bad guys now know where to find you, not to mention your unprotected neighbors, but CynDee doesn’t even have the guts to comment publicly on Twitter. Talk about a lack of self-awareness.
Am I the only one to find it odd how few followers these media titans have? Here CynDeeeeeeee reminds us why gun owners no longer have rights in the eyes of Broooooce! fans.
“We knew publication of the database would be controversial but we felt sharing as much information as we could about gun ownership in our area was important in the aftermath of the Newtown shootings,” said CynDee Royle, Editor and Vice President/News.
“People are concerned about who owns guns and how many of them there are in their neighborhoods. Our Freedom of Information request also sought specifics on how many and what types of weapons people owned. That portion of the request was denied.”
They’re now running scared, mired in a massive shitstorm of their own creation, too gutless to even engage an enraged public on social media outlets.
Be assured it won’t be long until they’re playing the victim.

About 500 children a year die of accidental gunshots each year in the US. (Of course when you count 13 and 15 year old gangbangers, the numbers look much worse.) Contrast that to the 3,500-4,000 children that drown in family swimming pools and retention ponds each year. Isn’t it about time that we drain and fill-in all swimming pools? You know, for the children.

Perhaps if The Journal News advertisers were told that, as supporters of this type of behavior, their personal information was also fair game, maybe this rag would lose enough revenue to shut it down forthwith. I don’t live near there and don’t get that yellow rag, but someone in their distribution area must have the time and ability to do the research? Just the idea of advertising supporters of this outrage being treated equally with the paper’s distribution populace might just make the owners think about steering the paper in a more productive direction. They did this for profit; let them see the results aren’t what they thought they’d be.
WELL DONE, WHOEVER YOU ARE! Expose EVERYTHING you can about these radical filth at the Journal and see how they like it!!
